Being the mother of 9 children, I have to make sure that I save as much money as possible. I do this by using coupons as well as shopping the big sales. Thankfully, our Walmart will honor the Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) of it's competitors. Last night, I saved over $75 using the BOGO add from Publix at Walmart. (I scored 2-liter Pepsi for only$0.50 a piece--no coupon needed!) I am no getting my list together to go back to Walmart and get the rest of the items needed for our Thanksgiving feast.
We will have a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow that will be cooked outside over the fire in my Lodge Camp Ovens. I will be cooking a Turkey roast in the camp oven on the bottom and will cook my dressing in the small camp oven that will be placed on top. I will get some fresh corn on the cob and wrap it in aluminum foil real good and throw that into the coals to cook as well. This isn't our main Thanksgiving dinner, but this is what we will do with the 7 children that are still left at home. Our big Thanksgiving dinner will be on Sunday afternoon after church.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

As the Thanksgiving Holiday is getting closer and closer upon us, I also have to start getting the bus ready for our Thanksgiving trip. Normally, we are in the bus almost every weekend due to the fact that the girls sing Bluegrass Gospel. The bus is rather large, but when you realize how many people are on the bus; it can start to seem very small in a hurry. Here are a few photos of the bus as well as the girls on stage at Buckner's Music Hall in Atlanta, Georgia.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and The Money Family is busy getting everything ready. I know that Thanksgiving Day is actually on Thursday, but we always celebrate ours on the Sunday after Thanksgiving Day. We do this so that the married children will be able to spend time with the in-laws without having to try and make it to both houses. Thanksgiving is supposed to be a day of enjoyment and fun with the family; not stress.
So, as we think about what food we will be preparing for Thanksgiving, I decided to show you my beautiful table that we will be eating Thanksgiving dinner around. This beautiful table will seat 16 people. (We still don't have enough room, but we have to make do.)

Today is Zachary's 8th birthday. Since we already celebrated his birthday on Friday night, he will be going with his grandparents to Wild Adventures today. (Along with Josiah and Isaiah.)
Yesterday was Father's Day and we celebrated that with a big dinner at the house. We had baked chicken, baked potatoes, broccoli, yeast rolls, and then pound cake to follow it up. We then went over to New Light Church for the Father's Day Program (I haven't missed a single one since they started doing them in 1981!). This year it was dedicated to Bro. Doye Hudson. (The man that made me realize just how much fun a large family can be!)
We are now in preparation of our next revival. Anytime that The Money Family goes anywhere, it is a huge ordeal. We will be in revival the 28th, 29th, and 30th of June in Fountain, Florida. Plans have to be made for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each of these days as it costs wayyy to much for us to eat out. But, I must say that I bought a new appliance for the bus that I absolutely LOVE and it will be perfect for bus life.
Can you believe that I can fry french fries and chicken nuggest with NO OIL????? (That's a wonderful thing considering I have to cook for this huge family while on the bus.)
Still have to plan what colors we are all going to wear, (& make sure everyone has all of those colors), what we are going to be eating, which animals will be going and which ones will be staying.... So much to do; so little time. =)

This evening is the birthday party for my son, Zachary (turning 8 on the 17th) and my father (turned 69 today). With the family being so big, there is never "just a small party" for anyone whatsoever! (Even if we do it at home and invite nobody else!)
We opted to have this party at the little park in Wakulla Station and just grill out some hot dogs and let the kiddos (big and small) play while the food is cooking.
Also, since Father's Day is this coming up Sunday, my hubby has made out like a bandit. (It was rough having all of the children when they were little, but it is sure enough paying off now.) =D I found him a very nice Oversize Memory Foam Antigravity Recliner that was on sale for about 65% off after my coupons. He will most definitely enjoy being able to take that on the bus with us. Priscilla went to DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) and purchased him a new pair of Docker's Dress shoes in brown to match the black ones that I had bought him a couple of weeks ago. Then, Victoria and Rebecca went to Sears and got him several Polo shirts. (You think this man might be spoiled???)
In addition to Philip, I still have to get something for my daddy as well as my grandfather. Then, there is my Papa Moats in Marianna and Papaw in Dallas, Texas. Not sure what to get those special guys in my life.
